Les JERC donem suport al Socialistische Partij a les eleccions generals dels Països Baixos
El proper 15 de març l’electorat holandès escollirà els seus representants a la Tweede Kamer (congrés) en el que serà una de les eleccions més competitives que els Països Baixos mai hauran vist. Aquestes eleccions produiran com a resultat un gran canvi al sistema de partits holandès, amb un més que probable fort retrocés dels partits de govern (format pels “socialdemòcrates” del PvdA i els liberals del VVD), i un creixement encara incert de l’extrema dreta (PVV).
Tot i el context electoral no hem d’oblidar que la política es fa sobretot als carrers, fet llargament entès pel Socialistische Partij i les seves joventuts, ROOD. És per això que els socialistes no han baixat la guàrdia en la protesta (i la proposta) als carrers contra un govern que més que «crear ponts» (com deia el seu eslògan), s’ha dedicat a destrossar els darrers dics que encara contenien l’onada neoliberalitzadora. ROOD i el SP ha lluitat colze a colze a colze amb els moviments socials en campanyes com ara Fuck Jeugdloon, contra la generalitzada doble escala salarial per a joves; Niet in Mijn Naam, contra el bombardeig a Síria; Huisjesmelker van het jaar, contra els lloguers abusius; Wake up voor Onderwijs, per una educació pública i democràtica; i la recent campanya que pretén recuperar el control públic del sistema nacional de salut.
És per això que les Joventuts d’Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (JERC), volem mostrar la nostra més gran solidaritat amb ROOD i el SP en les eleccions del proper dimecres. Creiem fermament que el SP és l’ únic partit amb una estratègia clara per aturar l’onada neoliberal als Països Baixos, tot reconstruint l’estat del benestar que ha d’assegurar un futur decent tant per a la ciutadania holandesa com per als i les refugiades que han arribat i que encara arriben als Països Baixos.

Next 15th March, Dutch voters will elect its representatives at the Tweede Kamer in the most competitive elections that the Netherlands has never seen. These elections will probably produce major changes in the political party system, penalising government parties (PvdA and VVD) and unfortunately fostering far right PVV.
Nevertheless in this electoral contest we should not forget that the most important political arena are the streets; the Socialistische Partij and its youth wing ROOD know it perfectly. That’s why they have not given up in protesting (and making proposals) in the streets against a government that more than “building bridges”, have destroyed many of the last social dikes that still contained the waves of neoliberalism. ROOD and SP have fought side by side with social movements in campaigns such as Fuck Jeugdloon, for a decent minimum wage for youth; Niet in Mijn Naam, against bombing Syria; the Huisjesmelker van het jaar, denouncing scumlords and gentrification; Wake up voor Onderwijs for a public and democratic education; or the recent campaign to put the national health system back into public hands.
That’s why the Left Republican Youth of Catalonia wants to express its total support to ROOD and the SP in next Thursday general election. We strongly think that the SP is the single party with a clear strategy to stop the neoliberal wave in the Netherlands, and to rebuild the damaged welfare system that has to ensure a decent future for the Dutch people and for all those refugees that have come and still come to the Netherlands.
